Jeff Kinsler's 1968 Pontiac Firebird

Jeff runs a 499 cu.in. Pontiac engine with an IAII block and Butler Performance Edel. Wideport heads. We spec'd out the combo and provided many of the internals (like a custom forged crank, rods and pistons) as well as our Wideport heads and BOP intake. Jeff ran an 8.46 @ 158 mph (naturally aspirated- NO power adders) He has stock interior except for mandatory front racing seats and harnesses and is street legal weighing in at 3260 lbs. Jeff has a stock type suspension, mufflers(3" pipes), and he runs 275/60R15 Hoosier drag radials.  Jeff ran a best of 8.69 @ 155 mph in RAM Racing legal trim @ 3,485 lbs.

 

Update - 10/2012
Jeff took some weight out of the car (3260 lbs.)  and ran a new best of 8.46 @ 158 MPH  in very good air and track conditions
